CT Urgent Care Centers wants to help Cromwell and surrounding communities learn more about the importance of better eating during National Nutrition Month.

The staff and physicians at CT Urgent Care Centers understand the importance of ensuring overall well-being through preventative measures, including healthy eating and exercise habits. As part of their ongoing efforts to educate the community, they are urging residents of Cromwell and the surrounding areas to participate in March’s National Nutrition Month Campaign.

National Nutrition Month is a campaign sponsored yearly by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Each year, this organization, supported by healthcare professionals, like those at CT Urgent Care Centers, works to educate and inform the American public about the value of making nutrition educated choices regarding eating habits and physical activities.

The theme chosen for National Nutrition Month 2016 is, “Savor the Flavor of Eating Right,” and will be inspiring people to slow down, enjoy the traditions, joys, flavors, and social experiences that come with eating. The ultimate goal is to teach people that by taking more time to enjoy the experience of eating, people will take more time to think through how, when, why and where they eat, and develop a more careful approach to eating.

Throughout March, health care providers, like those at CT Urgent Care Centers, will be working to educate individuals about the significance of nutrition and physical activity, as preventative medicine.  Additional information regarding related health matters, including eating disorders, obesity, diabetes, and more will also be highlighted.
